Teens Rock Band. All Instruments are welcome! For this session, recommended age is 12-15(please call for exceptions). At least 6 months experience is recommended and also enrolled in private lessons at HVSM.

Each session is 60 minutes.

First 5 minutes is geared toward discussion/listening and overview with the instructor and the students. This helps reinforce basic music concepts and listening skills and allows the students to socialize with the “band” and hangout before practicing and jamming.

The next 50 minutes is all about jamming and having fun with a 5 minute “wrap up” before the end of the session. Students will be packed up and ready for pick-up promptly at 8:30PM(Parent or Guardian required to pick up at the door)

Students will learn and jam on a wide variety of songs from various genres and styles from classic to contemporary. Song suggestions from the students will always be considered and add to the “set list”.

Goals of the Teens Rock Band:

This is a great way to get kids to jamming and playing music together! As a group, they will arrange songs, learn parts on respective instruments and have a blast in the process! Also, they will learn to write songs as a band!

This also is a great opportunity for students to experiment on instruments other than their primary instrument. Super fun!

These are small group classes. We are limiting this to 6 students per class. This allows for high quality instruction from our experienced faculty. This session is instructed by Josh Cole.
